Tournament officials for the MPS Group Championships announced Monday 30 March 2009. Slovakian Tennis star Daniela Hantuchova who reached the semifinals at the 2008 Australian Open, recently made headlines for appearing in the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue will playing with Dominika Cibulkova. Dominika Cibulkova career-high ranking of World No. 16 was achieved on March 9, 2009. She lost in straight sets to top-seeded Maria Sharapova in last year's final, which was played at Amelia Island. The MPS Group Championships, formerly known as the Bausch & Lomb Championships, has since moved to a new venue at the Sawgrass Country Club in Ponte Vedra Beach.
